Casa California was not built as a hotel — it grew, slowly, from a dream, into a personal vision and finally into the boutique stay it is today.
The house was lovingly renovated by Carmelo over several years, hands-on and with great care, together with local craftsmen. Every space was shaped with intention: open, light-filled, calm — designed to feel lived in, not staged.
Creativity and nature are an integral part of life at Casa California, reflected in a dedicated art studio and the nearby olive groves where we produce our own olive oil.
Casa California offers a selection of individually styled rooms and suites, each designed with comfort in mind and featuring private bathrooms, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and thoughtful details to make you feel at home.
At the heart of the property is a seasonal outdoor pool, surrounded by sun loungers and a peaceful garden that invites you to slow down, swim, read, or simply enjoy the Sicilian light. Guests can also make use of the shared indoor spaces with comfortable seating and tables, as well as the art studio and yoga shala. On the shaded veranda, breakfast is served and long, home-cooked dinners are shared. The property is set within an olive grove, where we produce our own olive oil — a small reflection of life here, rooted in nature and simplicity.
